介紹澎湖

A：Let me introduce Penghu to you. It consists of 64 islets and Islands. It sits just north of the Tropic of Cancer, and has an area of 127 square meters.  It is made up of volcanic lavas 40 km off the coastline of Taiwan.

讓我來介紹澎湖，它是由六十四個小島所組成的，座落於北回歸線附近 ,面積有一百二十七平方公尺，她是火山岩漿所組成，距離台灣大約四 十公里。

B：Are all the shapes of the islands the same?

全島都是由火山熔岩構成的嗎？。

A：All were formed earlier by basalt except Hua-Yu islet which was made by andesite.  Hua-Yu is the farthest west islet in Taiwan and has a nice lighthouse.

除了花嶼是由安山岩所組成以外，其餘都是。花嶼是位於台灣最西方的 島嶼，島上還有座很漂亮的燈塔。

B：Is it a densely populated area?

島上人口稠密嗎？

A：I don’t think so.  There is a beautiful elementary school, which has only twenty students.

一點也不，那裡僅有間二十個學生的迷你型小學。
